i forgot i had this to upload! silly me :) this is my one page guest contribution to studioRS's artbook 'something colorful' for which you can find more samples on :iconpallid:'s journal ! please support them and buy a copy, it's a really wonderful book.

the girl gets her inspiration from a beautiful advertisement i saw in vanity fair last year and the swans are there thanks to a mr. sufjan stevens. i originally wanted to paint canadian geese, but to get into the right mood to draw this, i listened to all of sufjan stevens' cds on a loop nonstop; hence, the geese became seven swans lol.
and.. um..
OBOE! :)

HA HA OMG! When I click on the title (7 swans) I also automatically thought of Sufjan Stevens' Seven Swans song :3 muahahaaha omg, now I'm gonna go listen to it and look at your pic (see if it gives me a different impression?)

You draw animals + sceneries SO WELL! :HEART: I HATE YOUUUU OK I LIED I LOVE YOU BUT OMG T3T WHYYYY ARE YOU SO AMAZING?! *more dying* The composition and the colors are perfect T3T JUMP ONLINE SOMETIMES SO WE CAN DO OUR ANNUAL PCHAT LOL :heart:

haha i know ! actually a more accurate musical representation of this piece would be /any/ of sufjan stevens songs off of that cd (since it's all acoustic string vs his menagerie of sound in illinois) EXCEPT seven swans, but since the whole cd was called seven swans, the image stuck in my mind :)
